General J&A Stuff / John and Aeryn....best TV Couple EVER!
« Last post by squirrely1 on July 09, 2009, 02:50:06 pm »
Hi I'm new here and I just had to stop by and say that with all the buzz about the 10th anniversary of Farscape and the Webisodes hopefully coming out soon....I would love to see the Farscape discussion and excitement come alive again. Gateworld posted this inty of Ben in Jan 09  http://www.gateworld.net/interviews/lucky_man.shtml and he said the webisodes are still being written and in pre production and he seemed confident they would definitely happen and he wanted to be involved.  So I'm really hoping Scifi....er...um....I mean Syfy doesn't frell it up.

Hey there, everybody :

I am a newbie . I just come today to say hi . I have been a fan of Ben Browder ( in particular  - but also I love Farscape , and Stargat SG-1 , and everything else he does ) for a very long time . . Well, not  a very   long time , but quite some while .  I am so proud to be on this earth at the same time as he is .  And I am honored to be on earth at the same time as all my friends. I love to make friends , especially on the internet . Perhaps there are some people here I would already know . Since it appears that all the sites I go to that have forums ( and have to do with Ben Browder , and / or Farscape & Stargate SG -1 ) I have my friends there also . And if that is the case, I say hi to you , especially . Hehehe . Okay, I look forward to meeting everyone here.  And posting alongside with y ' all is great ! Until next time , hehehe

Sincerely,
Grayzah  ;)

I just had to post and mention that I agree with you, ladyevenstar!!    :D

Our John and Aeryn are played to perfection by Ben and Claudia!  They are such natural actors they make John and Aeryn seem so real.

Farscape is one of a kind--I've had all four seasons on DVD (plus, The Peacekeeper Wars) for a few years and I enjoy every minute of rewatching...and rewatching...  ;)

Stargate / Re: Scapin' & StarGatin'

I have to say that I would've become a Gater based on those two being on the show, but I was already a Stargate fan from the first episodes on Showtime way back when.  :)  So when they appeared there, I was a very happy Scaper/Gater.

My husband enjoys Farscape but, he's not the "rabid" fan that I am.  Recently, I watched Season Nine of Stargate and the hubby got interested in the last few eps and has been watching Season ten with me on the DVD set I purchased.

He kinda hates to admit it, but he's really loving it!  he has to agree (with me) the eps with Ben and Claudia are the most entertaining of all, too!

Has anyone else become a Stargate watcher thanks to Ben and Claudia's performances?

Same to you.  :)

I loved WSS1 (the episode with the rescue).  It was probably my favorite of season four.  :)

hi everyone it's been a while sure but here i am ,i just saw on french scifi channel " we're so screwed part1" where the crew saves aeryn from the scarrans...it's a lot to absorb in just the past four months what most of u got to see over four yr ,it's very overwhelming and quite the experience to take it all in , next week will be my last days as a newbie to farscapeworld and the uncharted teritories sniff sniff...
on the other hands now i will know everything u guys know and understand better what ya'all are talking about sometimes ,coz been such an addict i read every post no matter the topic ,no matter if i i get it or not ,coz who refuses more farscape, well now i'll be a newbie at rewatching it for the first time , coz i'm saving $$$ to buy the dvd's very soon !
there were so many instances i got teary eyed ,say "terra firma" and many many tag scenes between john&aeryn that just tugged at ur heart  say "dog with two bones"  oh man what a couple they should give a class on 'actors chemistry101' load of actors could learn a bit from them, i've been mostly on farscapeworld.com lately but even so i fnd this site very well done too
i even watch lots of farscape clips on youtube ! there was this comic-con interview with BB and CB and it was the first time i saw them both talking in real life and been so playful and at ease with each other that i thought r these 2 for real "quit prompting me ..woman!!" seriously ! i was laughing so hard from their interaction! great casting indeed! the whole cast is great ,and was there ever a better villain on tv than scorpius ,oh he is one devious genius! indeed!
well gotta go hope i wont come back in another month though ! see ya
oh and have a belated merry frelling xmas and a happy new year!

as for aeryn been an alien ,she does click her tongue, i saw her in 'a human reaction' it was then i realized that indeed she is different form john andhow he must have felt before he got injected with the translation microbes...she's human yet she's not,but who cares i still like her, she's a trooper and rocks!

But there are humans here on Earth whose native language involves clicking their tongue.  :)

The Sebaceans, in case you missed it in PKW, are humans.  They were only slightly genetically modified when they were taken from Earth many thousands of years ago.   So I always think of Aeryn as a human, just a few generations removed.  ;)

hi ,yeah i saw pkw but like i said i saw it first before seeing any episodes of the series and i'll say this even though i totally fell for it i did not understand a lot of things newbies wouldnt for lack of knowlege on the show,
sure enough i knew the basic being man gets lost in space ends up on ship with aliens and has weekly adventures, after all i'm pretty much into scifi shows...but i had no idea how complex and subtle the background story was nor how good the series was or the quality of writing...so yeah i miss a bit  where other insiders would pick up on details explaining a lot....

granted i always wondered how come aeryn looks so much like a human with only difference been dna makeup which didnt seem to reflect on her outside appearance...how was he suppose to resist that familiarity when lost in a unfamiliar environment...plus she kicked his ass,she had him at hello!
